]]>The first, annual First Food Event was held on June 19, 2010 on the grounds of the Spanish Quarter Museum in St. Augustine, Florida, our nation’s oldest city. Hosted by the living history group, Los Compañeros de la Cocina / The Companions of the Kitchen (c. 1513-1704), this heritage Event featured interpretations and demonstrations of the food and foodways of early Florida and the southeastern U.S.
